The political crisis in Rivers State deepened on Wednesday as about 10 bulldozers drove into the premises of the state House of Assembly and started the demolition of the complex. 


This came as the factional Speaker, Edison Ehie, led other lawmakers loyal to the governor to hold a sitting early on Wednesday before the demolition began.  


The demolition is being done under tight security.

Embrace innovation in tune with global best practices, NYSC D-G urges staff

The Director-General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Maj.-Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim, has urged staff of the corps to embrace innovations that are in tune with global best practices. He made the appeal on Tuesday in Abuja, while declaring open a training for “Service Innovation Pipeline Officers”. The director-general was represented by the Director, Human Resources Management, Hajiya Habiba Bappah.
